Conservatorship / Guardianship

Conservatorships and guardianships can be avoided by using durable powers of attorney for financial matters and medical powers of attorney. Zeigler and Associates advises our clients whether or not an expensive court-supervised proceeding is necessary when a loved one requires nursing home care, assisted living or is no longer able to care for themselves.

Conservatorships and guardianships are supervised by the Probate Court and require annual accountings and Court approval each year. Court supervised proceedings are not a cost-effective way to manage these matters. Zeigler and Associates guides our clients through this process, only relying on court supervised proceedings as a last resort.
